InkNQuill was founded on the idea that inclusive, critically engaged creative writing education should be at the forefront of everything we do. We use practice-based, evidence-informed solutions to help develop inclusive curricula and creative writing education, and to help develop your practice. We deliver your staff and students' results, which align with our mission statement: to develop creative-critical practitioners who can create disruptive literature.

The first thing you need to understand is that we operate a neuroaffirming approach to educational consultancy. We borrow from the work of Walker, who describes an approach to understanding the world: neuroqueering.

Neuroqueering, termed by Walker in 2021, is the practice of upending the dangerous norms we know of. These include deconstructing neuronormativity and hetro/cisnormativity. A norm is something which we have been told to expect.

For example, for neurodiverse individuals, the sensory elements of a classroom might be too much. On the curriculum front, students may struggle with sitting down and learning at a desk, and therefore may demand a more participatory approach.

All of these things are within our wheelhouse as practitioners at InkNQuill Consulting. We use evidence-based neuroaffirmative strategies to enhance student engagement.

Our Approach

This is where we will consult with you to understand your needs and how we can help you uncover your strategic and creative vision. We know that creativity and inventiveness are key to understanding and solving problems.

We will then conduct a specialised deep dive for your organisation and understand what is happening on the ground. This is where we look at what’s going on and how we can help, informed by a discussion with the relevant people in the organisation.

Based upon our discussion with you or your team, we deliver a detailed proposal which outlines the scope of the work we will carry out, clear deliverables, project timeline, and the fixed fee. We require a 50% deposit upfront to secure work and get started.

You have officially completed the discovery stage, and we know what we need from you. Great! We delve into the bespoke work and combine our expertise to effectively deliver our best work using the most up-to-date advice possible.

We then develop the materials. Our work is informed by active roles, ensuring our solutions are active, timely, and relevant to your organisation. We then review these and provide close communication, key milestones for your team to review drafts and provide feedback, ensuring the final project aligns perfectly with your institutional capacity.

We deliver and implement the solutions we designed for your organisation, check in with your organisation to ensure it has addressed the problem identified in the discovery call, and provide ongoing support (for up to four operational (term time) weeks post-implementation).

Feedback will be gained from teachers and leaders to ensure improved functionality for everyone involved. This shall be collected by a short survey.
